If anyone proposed the idea of drag racing SUVs 20 years ago, you might have suggested they slow down on the hallucinogenics.
Now we live in a world where SUVs share engines, chassis and gearboxes with their sedan siblings, making them ever-so-slightly slower, and with a worse centre of gravity, but nonetheless incredibly impressive to drive, and of course, packing all the perceived elevated status of owning an SUV.
In this quarter-mile drag race, we pit the brand new BMW X4 M Competition up against the beautiful Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
