The BMW X5 M and X6 M come standard with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8. It works together with an all-wheel-drive system with an active differential (but without drift mode) and an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic. The unit develops 600 hp. and 750 Nm of torque, that is, in return, it is identical to the engine that is installed on the BMW M5 super sedan. 25 hp increase Compared with the previous generation crossovers, it allows new products to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than before), but the maximum speed remains unchanged - 250 km / h. However, the installation of the optional M Driver’s Package will shift the limiter to 290 km / h. The BMW X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition are expected to be 25 hp. more powerful with the same torque indicators. Accordingly, the acceleration time to 100 km / h for such crossovers is reduced to 3.8 seconds, but with the maximum speed, the story is the same as that of the base crossovers. Of course, the “hot” SUVs also got a redesigned suspension: adaptive M-shock absorbers with an active rear stabilizer and three operating modes - Comfort, Sport, and Sport + were standard equipment. The BMW X5 M and X6 M are equipped with original 21-inch wheels, and 22-inch rear axles are available for Competition versions. Behind them are huge M-brakes with 395 mm discs and six-piston calipers on the front axle and 380 mm on the rear.
