★シボレー コルベット ZR-1(C4)に関して
コルベットの4代目として1983年に登場したC4型、大きく盛り上がったフェンダーなどはなだらかに整形され、全体的に洗練されたスタイルとなった。
エンジンは前輪車軸後部に搭載され、49:51とスポーツカーとして理想的な前後重量配分を実現した。
1989年に登場したZR-1はベースグレードのパッケージオプションであり、タイヤを収めるためにリアの造形に変化が生じ、角張っていたリアフェイスは丸まり、フェンダーが外側に拡大されていた。
組み合わされるミッションはZF製6速MT。
ブレーキは大径化され、17インチホイールに、タイヤはフロント275/40ZR17、リアは315/40ZR17を装着していた。
ロータスによって設計された、オールアルミニウム製のV型8気筒DOHC32バルブエンジンは、5,727ccの排気量から、標準モデルより100PS以上も上回る、最高出力375PS/5,800rpm、最大トルク51.3kgm/4,800rpmを発揮し、0-60mph/h（約97km/h）を4.2秒、0-400mは12.2秒、最高速度は289.5km/hであった。
