Audi TT RS vs Chevrolet Camaro vs Porsche 718 Cayman GTS vs Toyota Supra
The #Audi #TT RS has never been this masculine. The completely redrawn front end and the striking rear end give it a dynamic appearance. The quattro logo in a matt titanium-look is positioned in the lower section of the gloss black grill with its matt black Singleframe. The lateral air inlets, which have been enlarged once again, are each divided by vertical strips on the inside and outside. For cooling purposes there are additional radiators located behind the typical RS honeycomb grill. The lateral air inlets that extend almost all the way to the front wheel wells make the new TT RS appear extremely wide.
Five-cylinder, 294 kW (400 metric horsepower) output, 480 Nm (354.0 lb-ft) of torque, quattro all-wheel drive-the Audi TT RS impresses with inner values and offers an outstanding driving performance. The Coupé sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62.1 mph) in only 3.7 seconds. Musical accompaniment is provided by the typical five-cylinder sound: 1-2-4-5-3. Due to this ignition sequence, ignition alternates between adjacent cylinders and those far apart from one another. This unique rhythm is music to the ears of many horsepower purists.
The other Gen Six #Camaro coupe models are commensurately quick, with the 275-hp (205) 2.0L Turbo delivering 5.4-second 0-60 performance and a 14.0-second quarter-mile, with the six-speed manual. With the available, 335-hp (250 kW) 3.6L V-6 and eight-speed automatic, the Camaro zips to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and down the quarter-mile in only 13.5 seconds.
Efficient performance in a new 3.6L V-6 featuring direct injection, continuously variable valve timing and - for the first time - Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation), offering an SAE-certified 335 hp (250 kW) and 284 lb-ft of torque (385 Nm), for the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated V-6 in the segment
The beating heart of every #Porsche sports car has always been the flat engine. The mid-engine 718 GTS is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo flat engine with 269 kW (365 hp). The maximum torque of 430 Nm in conjunction with PDK is achieved between 1,900 and 5,000 rpm. As a result, it is available much earlier than in the previous GTS with a six-cylinder flat engine. In combination with the six-speed manual transmission, a maximum torque of 420 Nm is available between 1,900 and 5,500 rpm. With these improvements, the turbo engine delivers 11 kW (15 hp) more power than the 718 S models and up to 26 kW (35 hp) more power than its GTS predecessor with naturally aspirated engine.
This results in improved torque characteristics and faster acceleration. The two 718 GTS variants with the standard Sport Chrono Package and optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) sprint from zero to 100 km/h 0.1 seconds faster than the current 718 S models, reaching 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. In combination with the manual six-speed transmission, they hit 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The top speed of the two GTS models is 290 km/h.
The 2020 #Supra will feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six that will produce 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. The torque comes on strong from very low engine speeds, thanks to a combination of a twin-scroll turbocharger, direct fuel injection and continuously variable timing on both the intake and exhaust camshafts. Engine response is further enhanced thanks to the inline six's variable intake valve lift system that adjusts intake valve timing and duration.
The 8-speed automatic transmission delivers quick up- and downshifts and features paddle shifters for manual control when desired. Short ratios for the lower gears and a Launch Control function enable powerful acceleration with maximum traction. #Toyota estimates 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.1 seconds. Top track speed will be electronically limited to 155 mph.
