At long last the (overdue) Ultimate Driving update is here. This update brings many changes from car manufacture branding removal, better lighting and building details in Westover, the addition of reverse lights to all the cars, and some tweaks to some of the models themselves. And of course, we also got some new cars. I decided to go right for the most expensive addition, the LaFerrari Aperta. The LaFerrari was immediately appraised in the car community when it was revealed 2013 for it's design and capability - so how does the UD version hold up?
The LaFerrari in UD is supposed to be the Aperta, and while it does have the paint job unique to the Aperta (secondary colored accents that you can customize), it is not roofless. The model itself is still very nice, even if it looks a little barren without the iconic Ferrari stallion. The lights, angles, and the rear engine are all spot-on. Definitely does not disappoint on the visuals. However, this cars performance in UD is not as good as I was expecting. The acceleration and handling are average to good. The top speed reflects the real life top speed but sadly the physics of Roblox/UD step in here. This car will swerve by itself over ~190 MPH and fight you, which in addition to the usual bouncing, makes this car difficult to consistently drive. Furthermore, the brakes are really pretty bad compared to some other cars in the game. That all said, for the 5.4 M price tag, unless you love this car, I recommend not getting it at this time. I say that because maybe TTP will tweak its chassis and fix the steering issue, then this car would be a worthwhile purchase. Do let me know what you think of the Aperta if you bought it in the comments below!
