This video is about a 2000 Mazda Miata, a lowered Miata (can you say back pain) that was brought to RodsShop because it slid off the road and hit a high curb ripping half of the rear bumper off and breaking the left rear hub/spindle in half. The car had to be taken to the frame shop because the whole rear end was shifted over to the right causing the trunk to rear quarter gaps to be pinched closed.
The left rear quarter was slightly wrinkled and the car had minor dents and chips around the car. The rear bumper was painted off the car making it easier to shoot at the top that normally lips up under the trunk lid. The ground effect package and mirrors were also shot off the car and came out so slick that no sanding and buffing was required.
This car has been converted to a Mazda Speed so replacing the hub/spindle was difficult due to availability of the part. I used Dupont's Chromabase Base Coat and Nason's 465-00 High Solids Urethane Clear.
