Video Info: What would it look like if Rick Sanchez, Ben Tennyson or Thragg from Invincible, each had a domain expansion? If you’re watching this video you already know that domain expansions are the most iconic part of JJK, with only a small number of sorcerers knowing how to do it. Because it’s April Fools we’re gonna see explore some domain concepts for these legendary cartoon characters – and please let me know in the comments which one you think is the best. Ok so the first person we’re gonna talk about on this list is Rick from Rick & Morty, who’s the alcoholic mad scientist, who spends his days travelling through the multiverse with his grandson from another dimension. Because Rick is so overpowered and because he has so many iconic moments it was hard to decide what his domain would focus on but in the end I was pretty happy with how it turned out. The name of Rick’s domain is Multiversal Matrix Construct and it’s inspired by various things that we see throughout the show. To understand how it works – the first thing we need to mention is that in Rick and Morty there are infinite universes with infinite different versions of Rick – so let’s just assume that this Rick, comes from a universe with the same power system as JJK. As a sorcerer his technique let’s him convert cursed energy into portal fluid, not a huge amount of fluid, but enough to open two portals per day. These green portals are what every Rick uses to travel into other timelines but Multiversal Matrix takes things a step further. Just like other domains, when Rick is inside this space his cursed technique receives a boost, enabling him to open 3 portals instead of his usual two. As you can see the portals to his side are yellow instead of green and that’s because these portals tap in to the full power of the multiverse. For context in season 5 of Rick and Morty, we found out that the multiverse is bigger than we thought and that Rick’s green portals, can only travel to universes where he’s the smartest person. In other words, there are places in the multiverse that can’t be reached with a regular portal but the yellow portals are able to do it. Thanks to this, sorcerer Rick is able to get things that no other Rick can and his yellow portals remain active until the domain collapses. You might be wondering though what is the sure-hit effect of this domain, cause every domain has an effect that’s guaranteed to hit the target. In this case Rick’s sure hit effect is directly inspired by one his favourite games, which is called “Roy: A life Well Lived”. In this game players put on a virtual reality helmet and enter a simulation where they become a random guy called Roy. As Roy you then just live the rest of your life, spending decades inside of this matrix, while only a few minutes go by in the real world. However for inexperienced players once you become Roy it’s easy to forget who you actually are, cause the memories you have as Roy can override the memories you had before you entered the game.
