With One Piece officially switching to a seasonal anime format, the entire anime landscape just shifted — especially for Dragon Ball fans like me. Remember how Dragon Ball Daima aired like a seasonal show earlier this year? That might’ve been Toei’s quiet experiment to prepare Dragon Ball for the same treatment.
As both a One Piece and Dragon Ball fan, this could be the best possible timeline. Imagine: One Piece airs half the year, Dragon Ball airs the other half — both with top-tier animation, no filler, and better pacing.
But let’s stay real… we should still keep our expectations low for Super’s return. Toei moves slowly, and we probably won’t see anything until they’re fully ready. Still, this new direction could finally give both series the care they deserve.
